The following information is provided to explain the ministry and to give you a flavor of what we do…

We deliver groceries on the 3rd Sunday of each month to four properties within the McKinney Housing Authority. We meet-up in McKinney at 1:00pm at 808 S. College St, Cornerstone Christian Academy, to stage and package the grocery bags with potatoes, onions, apples, oranges, bananas, tomatoes, breads, pastries, and other items as they are available.
Our mapping coordinator provides a highlighted map of each home on the MHA properties, as well as the off-site homes to be served. If the residents are not home during delivery, the groceries are left on their doorstep.

With that being said…our mission, our goal is to build relationship with those we serve, it's not about the bag of groceries, we desire to share Christ, and be His hands and feet to these residents!!

There will be prayer request forms with each map, so prayer requests can be noted and sent to our prayer coordinator who in turn sends a compiled list out to the entire team so we all can be praying for the residents. Also during deliveries we note any changes meaning- if a resident has moved to another property or just moved out of MHA or sometimes you may meet a resident who tells you of someone in need that we would want to add to our map for future deliveries. All prayer requests and changes would be sent to the email address on the prayer request form.

Our policy is no one delivers alone; children need to stay with their parent or an adult. We have come to know a lot of these residents, but at the same time we need to remember where we are, for we don't know this community in its entirety.

Currently our greatest needs are MORE volunteers and financial support to keep pace with the growth of those in need God is bringing forth to be served.

We would love to have you join us. We do provide training. New volunteers are assigned to go out with a seasoned grace2go volunteer(s) to walk them through the process until they feel comfortable on their own.
