Girls' Service League, Inc.

A nonprofit organization

Our educational grants program has allowed women in Johnson, Parker, and Tarrant counties to obtain tuition assistance to colleges and universities in Texas. After graduation, our recipients have moved on to become professionals and leaders in their communities. Our organization started out over 100 years ago assisting women and evolved to helping women find employment, assisting with housing and helping to fund college educations. In 2019, we will celebrate 100 years as the Girls' Service League and continue to sustain our efforts through the generosity of others.

Our Needs

Over the last nine years, GSL has awarded over $1.5 million in financial assistance from our sole source endowment account. Our need is to raise $300,000 to increase the number of undergraduate degree grant offerings for women to attend local colleges and universities in the state of Texas for the next four years. When it comes to college tuition, this is not a lot of money, and we make a difference.

Mission

We are an organization of women with a focus on providing qualified women the opportunity to obtain an undergraduate degree. Our mission is to create an inclusive community of diverse women that will enhance the lives of their families and communities. Through the added value gained with an undergraduate degree, these women help to increase the leadership capacity of women.
