We provide support groups for moms of ill and deceased children where they meet with leaders and other parents in similar situations, and share their burdens and concerns. We provide ideas and ways to cope.

We also provide annual workshops and seminars to help educate moms of ill children how to care for themselves while they care for their child/children. We also provide grief recovery workshops for parents that are grieving a child/children. We use the 7 steps of grief. We use moms with experience in both areas as mentors to moms that have recently been touched in these areas, and we also bring in professionals.

For moms that are care givers, we also provide an annual respite (week-end) . This is their time to briefly get away from the everyday task, share with other moms, and we bring in a speaker that shares various ideas and techniques for refreshing, and a speaker to address the spiritual part of each individual.

For our annual family day for families of deceased, we invite the dads and other children.

Our Needs

We need income to continue to provide our retreat, educational seminars, family day, fund raiser banquet. We cannot expand our services due to limited funds. We would like to invite other moms to these events that really need the time away, and rich information the speakers give. We would like to bring in additional speakers, and provide more materials for the moms.

We need general operation dollars which would provide the freedom/time to reach other entities where services are given to families, This requires the ability to contact social workers, medical staff during business hours for the ability to attend parents meetings, and other avenues where these ladies are found with permission of the family. Also work with board members.
