Amphibian Stage is committed to creating the highest quality theatre productions and arts education programming. We believe art inspires, sparks ideas, questions, conversation, builds a sense of well-being and cultivates a sense of belonging.
To produce innovative and engaging theatre that inspires new ideas, opens new doors, and increases our understanding of the vast world around us.
1. Sustaining our talented artists: We work hard to keep them artists supported and employed as they share their creativity with our community. Your gift will help us continue to offer work opportunities for them as we recover from the challenges of the past two years.
2. New Arts Education programs: Amphibian Stage is establishing new collaborations with local schools and youth-based non-profits to offer a wide range of arts-based programs - internships, apprenticeships, artist visits to schools, field trips to the theater, rehearsal visits, and exposure to technical direction among others. These programs are vital for young minds therefore your donation will make a significant impact in their lives.
We want to leave no room for doubt that we stand with all marginalized and under-represented communities. Silence is complicity. Our platform gives us a voice denied to so many. Therefore, here is our pledge to our friends in the BIPOC and LGBTQ communities, as well as Persons with Disabilities*.
We will speak up against acts and words of hate and hold individuals and institutions accountable for their actions.
We will do the work within ourselves so that we can put a stop to the institutional bias that is all-pervasive.
We will listen more and talk less when you teach us.
We will employ you, collaborate with you and help you tell your stories with the dignity and respect deserved.
We will not allow fear and systemic bias to guide our decisions.
We have been working hard to examine our own culpability and create actionable steps in the fight for change, beyond just pledges.
