$100,000 Goal

City Year Dallas bridges the gap between what schools are structured to provide and what all students need to thrive. We recruit, train, and support a cohort of young adults who serve full-time as corps members in Dallas ISD, Uplift Education, and DeSoto ISD schools. In partnership with teachers and school leaders, our corps members provide targeted support in literacy, math, attendance, and interpersonal skill development. This work helps students strengthen their academic performance, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.

We hope you will make a gift today to support our work with students across Dallas ISD, Uplift Education, and DeSoto ISD!

Mission

City Year Dallas (CYD) bridges the gap between what schools are designed to provide and what all students need to succeed. We recruit, train, and support young adults ages 18-25 to serve full-time as Corps Members (CMs) in historically underperforming schools, helping to ensure all childre receive an excellent education. Working alongside teachers, CYD CMs provide extra support on attendance, literacy, math, and interpersonal skill development to help students build the confidence, self-esteem, academic, and soft skills required to succeed and thrive through school and beyond. We are contributing to a clearer and bolder vision of what public schools can be for all children: places of learning, exploration and risk-taking, where every student has access to positive relationships that encourage them to thrive.

Equity Statement

City Year Dallas is dedicated to building a more just, equal, fair, and compassionate world. Recognizing the deep inequities and unequal opportunities along race, class, gender, sexual orientation, and other aspects of identity, City Year Dallas values these differences and is dedicated to working toward greater educational equity for all.
