$500,000 Goal

Modern day slavery still exists. Together, we can end it. Imagine spending night after night in different hotel rooms, with different men, all at the command of someone you once trusted. Being held against your will, beaten and made to feel like you have no other option at the time, all by someone you thought you loved.  This is the story that many of our girls have shared at The Race House of Hope.

Every day, vulnerable girls are trafficked into modern-day slavery and exploited for profit. We work with local justice officials, community partners, advocates and people like you to end it.  The Race House of Hope is expanding!  We will be adding an additional 20 beds.  This will not be an easy task as we work to raise $500,000 to be able to complete the construction and begin serving 20 more individuals who have been victims of sex trafficking.

The Race House of Hope has seen much success since we opened in 2017 but we can’t ignore the need for more beds for victims of sex trafficking in Texas.  This expansion is very much needed to increase our efforts in fighting human trafficking. We turn away girls daily due to the lack of beds that we currently have. It is heartbreaking to know that we are unable to serve a girl who has been a victim, so we knew the expansion was much needed.  With these beds we will be able to help 20 Ladies Own Their Mark!

TheRACEhOUSE of HOPE is a unique therapeutic Residential Treatment Center that provides 24-hour guidance and personalized care to at-risk teenage girls ages 13-17 victimized by abuse, neglect, abandonment, and sex trafficking. We offer crisis stabilization and continued treatment in a minimum restrictive atmosphere. The RHH has a structured setting with individual and group therapy, treatment services, life skills, educational services, employment assistance, spiritual growth, substance abuse aide, and after-care programs. We offer the warmth and safety of home and transitional programs to assist teens when they are ready for their journey back "on the track." We help our youth understand the challenges they are facing can be overcome by providing support, encouragement, and accountability to get to the "finish line".

Equity Statement

Racial Equity Statement

The Race House of Hope (RHH) is committed to racial equity both internally through our work environment, and externally through our programming.

We are committed to ensuring that every policy enacted reflects democratic principles of equity and justice.

We understand that enacting policy in a just and equitable manner considers critical issues of implicit bias and discrimination that requires concerted and purposeful action.

We believe that bringing together our Race Team and Clients with differing backgrounds and life experiences will enhance our ability to increase opportunities for everyone.

Policies, programs, and activities will be administered to identify and avoid discrimination and barriers to access, and to avoid disproportionately high and adverse effects on communities of color.

Accountability to our grantees is of central importance to us. We understand the significance of evaluating the impact of our policymaking on grantees over time and utilizing this evaluation in the development of new policy initiatives. We are committed to the just and equitable disbursement of resources.

We will obtain the following information when relevant and appropriate in order to utilize data to evaluate the impact of our equity goals: population served and/or affected by race, color, national origin, and income level, which will include diverse communities across the state such as: communities of color, racially and ethnically diverse individuals, tribal communities, immigrant and refugee communities, and communities that have principal languages other than English.

Building a race equity culture requires intention and effort. This RHH Racial Equity Statement should inspire greater collaboration in policymaking, strengthen public will and input, and develop policymaking that has a strong commitment to advancing equity. Led by our Racial Equity Statement, we will fully integrate race equity into every aspect of our operations and programs and work toward the dismantling of structural racism wherever we encounter it and improving RHH outcomes for all.
