$70,000 Goal

Surviving on the street is not a life skill young women should have to learn.

Our Friends Place is a 501(c)3 nonprofit in Dallas, Texas, on a mission to help young women break generational cycles of abuse, neglect, poverty and homelessness through empowering self-reliance and independence. Our unique, strength-based and solution-focused programs utilize trauma-informed care and research to teach skills needed for young women to succeed in adulthood.

Our Friends Place relies entirely on donations from friends like you to support a continuum of care for young women that stretches across North Texas. Our service-rich Transitional Living Centers are more than a home – they’re a place for young women ages 18-24 to focus on school, start a job, learn life skills, and save money for their future. Our Friends Place’s innovative SOAR to Success program reaches out to young women and adult allies to “fill in the cracks” and prevent them from falling into homelessness. Since 1987, Our Friends Place has ignited generational change in the lives of more than 3,000 young women as they learn to excel, grow, and flourish.
