Ochre House Theater was founded in 2008, in the heart of Exposition Park, by Matthew Posey. Mr. Posey serves as the Artistic Director and has written, directed and produced numerous critically acclaimed original theatre productions in the last 30 years, in theaters that he has built from the ground up. Deep Ellum Theatre Garage was his first space, and now Ochre House Theater. Ochre House is critically acclaimed, and has received numerous awards, including Best Theater 2012/ D Magazine. Ochre House Theater offers opportunities for core company members to write and direct their own original pieces, providing a voice for our local playwrights. Throughout the year, Ochre House also participates in community outreach through collaborations with The Flame Foundation, Dallas' premiere non-profit Flamenco organization. Ochre House has a dedicated core of actors, directors, musicians, dancers, puppeteers, designers, and staff who are committed to creating ensemble-based theater that is rare and beautiful.
Our Needs
Funding is requested to support the yearly collaborations of Ochre House Theater and The Flame Foundation for the annual Dallas Flamenco Festival. The Festival features a full length play written and directed by Matthew Posey, with choreography by Antonio and Delilah Arrebola. The collaboration includes an internationally diverse group of professional musicians, dancers, and actors.
Funding is also requested for maintenance and upkeep of the theater space.

We are committed to producing innovative plays and performing arts projects that carry a message of artistic and spiritual revival to the community.
Needs
Funding is requested to support our season of all original, world premier productions. Our year is filled with original music and timely topics. Our Core Company writes and produces our entire season of shows. We strive to employ a diverse group of multi-talented professionals: cast, crew and staff.
Funding is also requested for maintenance and upkeep of the theater space.
