ABOUT HEROES ON THE WATER
Heroes on the Water empowers military veterans, law enforcement and first responders to decompress and reconnect with themselves, their family, their jobs, and their local community. Our kayak fishing program offers continuous outdoor recreation, camaraderie, and a social support network at no cost to our heroes or their families.
In our 15 years of service, we have provided services to 60,000 veterans and first-responders and over 15,000 family members. We began in North Texas and have two volunteer-led chapters in the North Texas area and a therapeutic program associated with the North Texas VA.
We are requesting donations to improve the safety and security of our participants in North Texas. The safety related items will allow our local chapters and therapeutic program to replace outdated equipment, ensuring all our heroes and families can focus on healing, knowing all safety precautions have been cared for. Having the appropriate safety equipment improves our ability to better accommodate those who have physical disabilities.
We believe that every hero deserves a safe and supportive environment to heal and thrive. Your contribution will make a significant impact on the lives of those who have sacrificed so much for our safety and well-being.
