MAKE SUN SAFETY A SNAP  

One in three Texans will develop skin cancer. This disease can greatly affect one’s overall quality of life; it can be disfiguring and even deadly. North Texas faces a critical issue as diagnosed cases of melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, have nearly doubled over the last two decades right here in our community.

But, the good news is that 90% of skin cancer incidences can be prevented with proper sun safety!

Helms Hope’s “Make Sun Safety a SNAP” campaign aims to do precisely that - cause a measurable impact on skin cancer by making sun safety easy, effective, and accessible for our community.

We are fundraising to install SNAP's revolutionary Sunscreen Machines in high trafficked outdoors areas around DFW! 

Consider how as we play pickleball with friends, enjoy the food trucks at Klyde Warren Park, or even just take our dog on a walk around the block, our sun exposure adds up. Persuading people to alter their daily behavior is difficult, which is why we are committed to providing the resources needed to empower people to make healthy choices for their skin as easy as possible. By making sun safety convenient and more fun we can make a direct impact on skin cancer.

SUNSCREEN MACHINES & SUNSCREEN INFORMATION

SNAP’s machines are the world’s first touchless sunscreen application system. The SnappyScreen Machine provides full body coverage in 10 seconds at your desired level of SPF!

Previously these machines have only been available at high-end luxury resorts such as The Las Colinas Resort (formerly The Four Seasons) and similar locations around the world. However, with your help we will bring these innovative sunscreen machines to the general public of DFW.
