Our libraries are vital community hubs that continuously transform themselves to keep pace with the changing economic, social, and technological aspects of modern society. The Arlington Public Library still provides free access to materials and the internet, storytimes, and Summer Reading Club, but they also provide meeting spaces, literacy services for adults and families, computer and job skills classes, programs for all ages, and lifelong learning opportunities. The public library is an example of democracy in action. It is a place accessible to anyone, where people can interact freely, learn on their own terms, and enrich their lives.
Our Needs
The Friends & Foundation of the Arlington Public Library helps secure funding to support the resources, services, and programs of the Arlington Public Library System through the solicitation of tax-deductible contributions. Currently, FFAPL's funding priorities include collection materials and technology, programming for all ages, and adult literacy.
