$10,000 Goal

Plagued by the need to do more for those suffering from societal disparities; philanthropist, author and media personality, Chris Howell and his wife Dominique established the Chris Howell Foundation (CHF) in 2016. CHF's focused tenets are on Financial Literacy, Male Empowerment and Health & Wellness - with a heavy focus on Food Insecurity in response to the increased hunger crises illuminated during the Covid19 pandemic.

From June of 2020 date, CHF provided North Texans in need with food and personal virus protection supplies to over 100,000 families, totaling close to three million pounds of food. In addition, over 2,000 children received new backpacks, earbuds and other essential school supplies. These drive-through events have not only given these vulnerable communities much needed sustenance, but more importantly, they have given them hope.

Funds currently being raised are used for programming, supplies and logistics, with an emphasis this year on capital infrastructure to ensure we can make the most impact with the most efficient use of resources.

Take a look at the videos below and see some of the impact that we've made in the community. And we are just getting started!

Our Needs

We need a commercial grade, refrigerated truck to increase our services to the vulnerable North Texas families suffering from food insecurity. In plain language - we're committed to bulldozing the statistic that 1 and 4 kiddos in North Texas go to bed hungry each night. Yes, you read that right. In this affluent region, inside of the most affluent nation in the world - nearly 20% of our kids in DFW weren't getting enough nutrition or calories before the pandemic. Now it's a staggering 25%. We can do better!

We know money is tight. The pandemic has done a number on our jobs, our schools, all of our lives in general. We get it. But we encourage you to dig deep, for those families who were already struggling before the pandemic, are even now further behind. They need our help.

Imagine it is your family who needs help; that lost their job, their loved one to Covid19, or even their home. Imagine it's your family that needs food and cannot find it.

This is where we are stepping in to fill the gap. And we encourage you to step up and partner with us on September 22nd.

North Texas Giving Day through December 31st, our goal is to raise $80,000 for a 26' refrigerated Reefer truck that will allow us to do the following:

•Make our meals go further! With the ability to store perishables, we can ensure we have a greater inventory of nutrition available to those in need.
•Make our distribution more mobile! When we can pivot to locations where there aren't any other duplicative resources, as well as provide delivery versus pick-up only; more individuals and families get served.
•Make your generosity go further! We take fiscal responsibility of our donor's generosity very seriously. By having our own truck, we save tens of thousands of dollars in rental fees each year, making the most of our time and money to serve those in need.
