Becca's Flame

Becca's Flame is a 501c3 non-profit organization started by a group of ladies that are passionate about Italian Greyhound Rescue! We have a strong belief that fostering should not be a financial hardship to the volunteer opening their home, and that the fostered IG should not have to go without items that are needed to best care for them. Right now our efforts will be focused within the Central and Northern Texas area with hopes to expand to other areas as our funds grow.
Some things our funds may cover include: items that fosters need to care for their foster dog, particularly one time costly items such as crates and xpens; food and other typical daily supplies if these usual items are causing a financial hardship for the foster home; items that make the foster experience safer in general for IGs such as Ruffwear Harnesses, Marco Polo tracker devices for fearful dogs with poor recall, microchips, ID collars, etc.; things not typically covered by some rescues- microchip placement fees, emergency boarding fees for foster families in crisis, prescription dog food, gas money for long transports, joint supplements for older dogs, holistic techniques such as acupuncture and herbal medicines (after written approval by the dog's rescue group that the dog can have them); and costs for supplies required by large intakes or litters of puppies as these scenarios can get very expensive, very quickly.

Our Needs

2021 has brought on assistance requirement from Becca's Flame for a large litter of puppies! We are so happy to be able to provide for these little guys. This year, we are also in need of re-stocking ID collars to be distributed to foster IGs.
Because of YOU, Becca's Flame is making a difference in the lives of foster IGs and the generous people who care for them, while they wait for their forever!
