From the young to the young-at-heart, our 100-member volunteer chorus is comprised of college students, professionals, local ISD choir directors and educators, and retirees. Each season, AMC performs six to eight concerts, including a variety of choral music from traditional pieces, major classical works, contemporary works, and even Broadway classics. Committed to inspiring the next generation of music lovers, AMC regularly features student choirs from Arlington and all over the Metroplex. AMC does more than sing. The chorus has provided the Arlington Master Chorale Scholarship to two deserving vocal majors at the University of Texas at Arlington. AMC's reputation of artistic excellence has provided opportunities for the group to perform nationally and tour internationally including performances at Carnegie Hall, the St. Stefan Concert Hall in Florence, and St. Peter's Basilica in Rome--and at the venerated Southwark Cathedral in London in the summer of 2023. Your AMC was the featured choir for the Texas Choral Directors Association annual convention in San Antonio in July 2009 and 2022, has sung with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra on multiple occasions, and performed the National Anthem for the Texas Rangers Baseball Team.

Our Needs

The Arlington Master Chorale is proud to report that we are an organization that consistently operates in the black. We are honored by those that have chosen to invest in the arts through the work of AMC and steward those financial resources carefully.

This past year, AMC experienced three unique events in its history. First, we celebrated our 50th year of making music together to benefit our community. Second, we performed a grand concert with choir and a 40-piece orchestra at the AISD Performing Arts Center in June to honor this milestone as well as that of our esteemed director, Randy Jordan, who retired in June.  Third we gave the inaugural London performance of Elaine Hagenberg's "Illuminare" at Southwark Cathedral (the same piece we performed for you in its World Premiere at a free 9-11 Memorial Concert in the fall of 2022). We are currently preparing for our upcoming October fall concert, our Holiday concerts in December, and a our spring concerts in April under the direction of our new Artistic Director, Reginald Wright. Please help us continue into the next 1/2 century of our commitment to promoting choral art, presenting exceptional performances, enhancing arts education and enriching the cultural lives of our community by giving on NTGD.

The Arlington Master Chorale, established as an organization of musical excellence in 1973, dedicates itself to the performance of outstanding choral music for the citizens of Arlington, Texas and surrounding communities and to music education by featuring local Independent School District student choirs in choral performances of variety and of the highest caliber.
