As of now, we are an up and coming non profit. The goal is to get a mentorship program up and running in the next 2 years. We purchased land a block away from 3 schools in the community and are in need of resources to help build a community center on the property. We recently ran a backpack drive and want to make this a yearly tradition with schools in the community. Additionally, we are planning to run a fall event/field day around Halloween this October.
We have land and property in Pleasant Grove a block away from Spruce High School, Dorsey Elementary School, and A+ Academy. Also, the property is a 2 minute drive from Anderson Elementary. We need help and resources to build a community center on the property and to run fun activities for the kids through our mentorship program between schools in the community.
The mission of Anchored By Family is to bring unity to the city of Dallas through buddy/mentorship programming called LIFE buddies. The end goal is to build a community center in Pleasant Grove. In addition, Anchored By Family will provide college counseling and resources, mental health services, and community service opportunities to and for the entire Pleasant Grove community. Everyone has a story and no one's story is a mistake. We are all loved, valued, and believed in. Let's build each other up. Keep each other grounded. Keep each other ANCHORED.
