Our PTA serves William Lipscomb Elementary in the heart of Old East Dallas. We strive to provide the best opportunities and environment for more than 420 students that attend classes at our campus. As a Title 1 campus, a campus with at least 40% low-income families, PTA is available to provide support and boost the school's learning and academic achievements through fundraising. We do this by providing programs like Teacher Wishlist, Peace Pantry for food insecure families, School Support, Supplemental Educational Programming, and Staff Appreciation and support. We love our students, and we adore our teachers! Go Lions! 🦁💜💛 #lipscombpta #lipscomblove
The purpose of William Lipscomb Elementary PTA, in common with National PTA and Texas PTA, is:
A. to promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, places of worship, and throughout the community;
B. to raise the standards of home life;
C. to advocate for laws that further the education, physical and mental health, welfare, and safety of children and youth;
D. to promote the collaboration and engagement of families and educators in the education of children and youth;
E. to engage the public in united efforts to secure the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social well-being of all children and youth; and
F. to advocate for fiscal responsibility regarding public tax dollars in public education funding.
The Lipscomb PTA's mission is to help children and youth in our community to achieve their maximum academic and social potential.
