Founder Jared Sandler is the Pre and Postgame host/play-by-play alternate for the Texas Rangers on 105.3 The Fan. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Jared went to USC where he earned a B.A. in Communications and a minor in Entrepreneurship. While at USC, he won the "USC Trojan Award" for his work ethic and commitment to athletics. Jared is driven by his infinite passion for sports and the way it can impact society. It is through this passion that he's chosen to find ways to tie sports and service together to help those in need.
The Sandlot Children's Charity provides financial assistance for kids with physical and intellectual disabilities, specifically for those who are in pursuit of athletic opportunities and sport specific experiences. Our goal is to not only deliver enjoyable activities, but to also promote the continued development of social and leadership skills for these inspiring youth.
Two years ago, The Sandlot Children's Charity launched a grant program. The purpose of our grant program is to provide monetary support to individuals who have a physical or intellectual disability or organizations that serve and help those with physical and intellectual disabilities. Individuals must be active in a sport or an organization must show a priority in coaching or sports.
