"Texas #2 / Dallas #2 in Texas / $99 MILLION Business / 100,000 Children Trafficked Yearly"
Founded in 2012, Restored Hope Ministries is a 501c3 organization founded for the purpose of rescuing women trapped in sexual exploitation, sex abuse, domestic violence, human slavery, sexual abuse, poverty, domestic violence, homelessness, and interaction with the criminal justice system. We are dedicated to helping women 17-45 by providing food, clothing, and shelter for 18 to 24 months, as they begin the healing process.
Phase 1 is dedicated to healing the hurt that is directly related to their abuse and exploitation. During this period the women participate in Celebrate Recovery classes, one on one counseling with Licensed Counselors, group counseling, bible studies, classroom learning in safehouse surroundings, GED program, art therapy, and love without anything in return. As well as any necessary medical or dental issues they may have. We have hope to rebuild their family connections and reunite broken families.
Phase 2 focus on job search/career programs, which include bus passes for their transportation while searching for employment. First, we make sure they have all their documents recovered: driver’s license, birth certificate, and picture ID. We help them prepare for job/career search as well as job placement to get them on their own feet. During this phase their personal bank accounts are created and they begin saving for their new futures.
Phase 3 is a discipleship program at a 16 unit apartment building ran by RHM. Those that rise to this level enter into a higher level of the program to grow & strengthen the skills taught while in the rebuilding stages of Restored Hope. Furnished apartments with low internship fees are given to help them learn budgeting and life skills with program restrictions like curfew but private apartment-life environment.
We work with Home Land Security, The FBI, local law enforcement agencies, courts, prisons, and other trafficking and domestic violence programs as well as taking victims right off the streets through outreach and simply educating others to recognize a victim when seen. We continue to grow and advance our skill set through grants and fundraising opportunities like North Texas Giving Day. We hope to further awareness to this ever growing epidemic to stop the triage process and get boots on the ground and put a grinding halt to the increase of victims.
