$20,000 Goal

Our program provides adults with mental illness a way out of isolation, time to socialize with others, a way to contribute to the community, and a chance to learn new job and social skills. We encourage members to continue their education and learn interview skills. When members have a place to call their own and a network of caring peers and staff during a productive work ordered day, they end up experiencing fewer hospitalizations and incarcerations. Prelude is also impacting the lives of families who no longer worry about their adult family members with mental illnesses during the hours they participate in Clubhouse activities.

We envision Prelude Clubhouse as a welcoming community of adults living with mental illness where hope is nourished, self-worth is restored, and opportunities to reclaim their lives and rejoin mainstream society are encouraged and pursued.

Our Needs

In order for Prelude Clubhouse to continue to successfully operate five days a week, funding is needed for staff salaries, rent, insurance, business supplies, and food for nutritious daily lunches prepared by members and staff. This also allows far more members (adults with diagnosed mental illnesses) to have more opportunities to come to Prelude Clubhouse, reclaim their lives, and rejoin mainstream society. It also allows Prelude Clubhouse to improve our Transitional Employment Program to support those members who have the ability and want to be employed by caring and local business partners on a part time basis to improve their job skills in an actual workplace.

Any assistance to reach our goals is so greatly appreciated!

Mission

The mission of Prelude Clubhouse is to provide an intentional environment utilizing the Clubhouse Work-Ordered-Day Model for adults experiencing mental illnesses. This provides acceptance, affirmation, and peer support for them, as well as time to focus on their strengths and abilities to achieve their full potential.

Needs

-Financial support for daily operations and membership services.

-Community employer partnerships to assist with part-time opportunities in our Transitional Employment Program.

-Volunteers interested in helping with events, potential board membership or staff relief.
