Love People. Tell Stories.

Plague Mask Players was founded as an inclusive outlet for professional performers to share their craft in the virtual world of 2020. In 2024, we have now built a strong global community founded on the values of empowering, supporting, and developing theatre artists.

If this sounds like something you’d like to be a part of, we need your help to keep pursuing our mission! By donating you will be playing an instrumental role in building a better community for artists in DFW. Your donation will pay for renting rehearsal and performance venues, costumes, sets, props, lighting and sound equipment, scripts, as well as other operational expenses. To get involved, please give today to support the arts and help make our dream a reality! To further support us and keep up with our journey, follow us on Facebook and Instagram and find free full readings by following us on Youtube . We are so excited about the bright future in store for Plague Mask Players, and hope that you'll join us in making it happen!

Giving Activity

Mission

To love and support a diverse community of artists and foster their growth through theatrical productions, educational opportunities, and innovative programming.

Needs

1. Funding our next LIVE in-person production, happening in 2025! While we can't yet announce the show, we're excited to once again do a new spin on an old classic! Donations will go towards cast and crew stipends, rehearsal and venue space, costumes, props, sets, script printing, marketing costs, and more.

2. Supporting our Inkubator program for local playwrights! This program was founded to fulfill our mission to support a crucial member of the theatre ecosystem- the playwright! The program is a collaborative space for brand new plays to be developed and refined. Our team partners with a local playwright and helps them make their new work the best version of itself through several stages of discussion and feedback, all leading up to a workshopped in-person staged reading for an audience, complete with a professional director and actors. With your help, we can provide a safe and supportive environment for the next generation of diverse and inclusive voices of North Texas theatre.

3. Operational Expenses: Per month, our expenses include $15 for Zoom, $30 for our website, $75 for insurance, and $150 for our storage unit. Plus additional expenses for workshop spaces and teaching artists.

Equity Statement

We were founded on the principle of loving our community well. We strive for greatness in our art that includes diverse and beautiful voices. It is our job to continually strive to conquer our inherent biases and work to be more anti-racist in all that we do. We are committing ourselves to promote equity, inclusion, diversity, and care of our community in every production we produce.
