Our organization is very involved in supporting and providing resources for our community. We offer different programs to help guide and enrich women and their families.
Some of the programs and services we provide:
1. TOPS Program. (Teens overcoming peer pressure) in February.
This is a program that we put on for teens from different backgrounds. We have counselors,
law enforcement agencies, and therapist come and talk to our teens about different things that are harming our communities and maybe things that teens and young adults may have to encounter such as (drugs, bullying, peer pressure, suicide, self-esteem, and sex trafficking).
2. We have adopted an elementary school which we help with school supplies, books, and provide a teacher appreciation breakfast.
3. Every year we issue two $500 scholarships. One to a Graduating High School Student and one to a Nursing Student.
4. We also have a heartbeat for homeless families and women displaced from domestic violence. We have provided clothing, food, haircare products, and other needs for these women and their families.
5. We are very involved in Literacy and have a "Walk for Literacy" in September where we raise money for Literacy and give out books, a reading club where we encourage young people to read 15 books and submit the reading logs for a prize, and also open reading "rooms or corners" in shelter, daycares, or places that desire books.
