N.I.A. Kids Youth Service Organization, Inc.

A nonprofit organization

N.I.A. Kids is a 501(c)(3) youth service organization that empowers youth and teens to realize their full potential through the performing arts. We provide year round performing arts programs for youth and teens throughout the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex and beyond. N.I.A. Kids programs provide solid training in the performing arts and has exposed hundreds of youth and teens to many facets of the performing arts industry. Since our inception in 2005, N.I.A. Kids has produced a myriad of professional theatrical productions, programs and community events that provide platforms and opportunities for youth and teens to develop artistically, mentally, and socially as they work to share their gifts with the world!

OUR PROGRAMS:

Performing Arts: This program provides opportunities and platforms for youth and teens to receive performing arts training, exposure to cultural experiences, and realize their full potential as they persevere through training and productions for a finished work. This program has a proven track record of positive impact and success as many of these young people have furthered their training in the arts, as well as, parent testimonials as to how N.I.A. Kids changed their child's life and catapulted their self confidence.

After School Arts Enrichment: The N.I.A. Kids after school arts enrichment program is an extension of our efforts to give youth and teens positive things to do during their free time. We partner with schools and school districts to provide after school programs at their school. Our after school programs include dance, drama, and vocal each day and culminates with a showcase/production at the end of each six weeks. Through our programs we hope to develop positive self-esteem, provide social opportunities, strengthen self-discipline, and encourage self-expression.

‚ÄãSummer Theater: This program is one of our biggest as it addresses the need to give youth and teens positive things to do during their free time. Many of these young people are in dire family and financial situations and the summer theater program is a positive and productive outlet. The summer theater program is an all day, 8 week program that culminates with a full stage theatrical production. These young people contribute to the entire creative process and walk away empowered as they see their hard work on the stage.

Our Needs

We are in need of funds to assist with our performing arts season that runs from September - August annually. Our season includes performances, classes, workshops, and theatrical productions. Our goal is to make our programs accessible to as many young people as possible. When we can remove the financial barrier, more youth and teens can participate in quality programs. These are opportunities many of them would never have without the support of others. Funds also assists with expenses associated with theatrical productions which include venue rental, costumes, set construction, and other production costs. We cannot provide any of these services without the necessary funds.

Mission

Our Mission is to Nurture Inspire and Affirm the gifts and talents of all youth and teens by providing performing arts training, arts education, and opportunities for them to experience theatrical production. We believe participation in the arts contribute to healthy development of young people, their families, and communities.

Needs

We need financial support to be able to provide our programs at little to no cost. We serve a minority community in which many of them have limited financial resources to put their children in productive programs that are a safe space where children can grow culturally, artistically, creatively, and thrive. Financial support will assist with our theatrical productions and enable us to expose youth and teens to excellence.

Equity Statement

We believe that all people regardless of race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, religion, zip code, health and ability status, or any other consideration — have equal and inviolable dignity, value, and opportunity to participate justly, fairly, and fully in all dimensions of civic and economic life . . . to prosper . . . and to reach their full potential.
