Our Needs

Funds are used to support Cozby Library and Community Commons by purchasing items and sponsoring programs that benefit the entire community and that are not included in the library's budget.

A few of the items and programs that have been provided by the Friends of the Coppell Public Library include:

- Author visits including Laura Gao, Alex London, Shelly Brown, Jen Waldo, and Amanda Eyre Ward
- New sensory wall in the Storytime Room (2022)
- Programs such as the recent Success with Succelents and Cacti (2022)
- VOX and Wonderbook collection (2022)
- Popsicle cart for End of Summer Reading Celebration (2022)
- Partnering with other organizations to bring a Storybook Walk to Coppell
- Portable device chargers available for in-library checkout for patrons
- Sponsorship of all TAMS JETS Science boxes
- Sponsorship of all early literacy backpacks, including 2021 and 2022 backpack update and refresh
- Support for the library during community events, including Celebrate Coppell, Kaleidoscope, the Coppell Farmer's Market, etc.
- Purchase of additional Coppell Reads books to be handed out free of charge to the entire community

We are proud partners with and supporters of the Cozby Library and Community Commons, which is an invaluable institution in our community.
