Mission
From ordinary to extraordinary. The Dallas Rowing Club provides the tools and resources for people to achieve their potential, and we do it through the community and sport of rowing.
Needs
The Dallas Rowing Club, to support its efforts to involve youth in the sport and community of rowing, needs to provide them the best equipment possible to learn and to compete. We provide need-based scholarships, boats and oars, hardware and accessories, travel expenses, coaches, and trailers. We do not expect our donors to meet our needs in kind, but we appreciate and will use wisely any funds that come our way from our wonderful donors!
Equity Statement
The Dallas Rowing Club ("DRC") has a goal to empower Dallas Independent School District (DISD) and other students to reach their greatest potential. We believe that by mentoring and providing enrichment activities in conjunction with a structured athletic program, we can improve the academic achievement, health outcomes, and personal development of the youth we serve, as well as all our members. DRC strives to reach under-resourced youth, puts students first, and is inclusive, transformative, and engaged with the community. We create an environment for holistic growth, and we empower participants, families, and coaches to be active stewards of and advocates for their broader communities.
