Who We Are
Cornerstone Ranch is a home and day program for people with special needs like Down syndrome, autism, and cerebral palsy. Located on 42 rolling acres in McKinney, we provide 24/7 care for six adults in a beautiful home and operate a thriving day program for more than 40 people. Our programs are designed to build confidence, strengthen independence, and help adults with disabilities – called Ranchers – to live full, productive lives. This all happens in a safe, loving environment that is overflowing with God's love for our friends with disabilities.
Ranchers are empowered to embrace their individual skills, talents, and purpose through stimulating activities for personal development, creative expression, and meaningful production. Working with clay, yarn, or wood improves fine motor skills and keeps the brain stimulated. Our Ranchers explore their individual gifts and gain confidence through a unique blend of occupational and physical therapy within the creative process.
The Ranchers love being active members of the community by packing and delivering Meals on Wheels, attending local high school football games, enjoying meals at local restaurants, and going to church as a family.
People with special needs require special care. Our team of trained professionals specialize in the health and wellness of adults with special needs. Through our unique programs and strategic local partnerships, we see the lives of our Ranchers transformed.
Cornerstone Ranch has a unique, faith-based approach to family-style living that fosters safe and nurturing relationships, in a lifelong home. Our Ranchers are recognized as unique individuals, not as case numbers. Our house parents live on-site 24/7 and have been involved with Cornerstone Ranch since we opened our doors in 2006.

Your donation will immediately put paintbrushes in our Rancher's hands and food on their table. You are keeping the lights on, watering our garden and putting gas in the van. You are hiring amazing staff members that all have a deep well of patience within them so they can love our Ranchers as their own children. Your donation shows the world that we can care for people with special needs in a whole new way.
Every dollar you donate goes 100% to our programs, not administrative or fundraising costs. We receive no government funding because doing so could jeopardize our family-centric model of care and our faith-based culture. Ranchers pay a subsidized tuition and our residential program operates on a sliding scale. This tuition revenue covers our administrative expenses, which are around twenty percent of our operating budget. This means that all other donations go directly to programs for our Ranchers. Donations have an immediate and efficient impact at Cornerstone. We are certified by ECFA, have a Guidestar Gold rating, and have earned the Excellence in Giving seal of Transparency. We undergo annual audits and reviews to maintain impeccable stewardship.
