Every week hundreds of great dogs are put to death in local shelters or die on the streets. A lot of people would be amazed at the number and variety of dogs available in their neighborhood shelters; yes, every size, age, breed and temperament is available to adopt and love.
Rescue organizations like ours work hard to save as many as we possibly can, but it is a never-ending challenge with breeders, puppy mills and uneducated, uncaring owners breeding and selling unhealthy animals to the public and contributing to the over-population of dogs.
As always, we need your support to help care for our pups: routine and emergent medical care, food and supplies, heartworm prevention and treatment, training, transport, and so many other expenses depend on donations.Â
And this year, we continue working toward acquiring a building, formerly home to a boarding facility called Poochville. Poochville has always boarded a few of our rescue pups, but turning it into our own facility will help turn it into an intake center, a boarding place while we search for fosters and adopters, an adoption center hosting meet-and-greets, a central distribution/supply center, a place for training our fosters and our pups!
We will need lots of help to bring this dream to reality. The building will cost more than $500,000 and operating expenses are substantial. But our state and our metroplex are in crisis with unprecedented numbers of unwanted animals, and we need to work differently to make an impact!Â
Please help us by joining our efforts. And thank you in advance for your support to our North Texas Giving Day Campaign.Â
