Our History
TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND aims to entertain, educate, and inspire by curating and commissioning extraordinary dance and performance art from around the world. It is the preeminent dance presenter in North Texas and one of only a handful of presenting organizations in the nation dedicated exclusively to dance. For 40+ years, it has been a vital leader and advocate for the arts, presenting over 625 live performances (185 Dallas debuts) by the most intriguing and influential artists across 42+ countries and solidifying its reputation for artistic excellence, innovation, and cultural diversity.
TITAS is committed to igniting public support for the arts, increasing access to arts experiences, and encouraging arts learning for all ages. Connections to visiting artists are deepened through community engagement and education programming, including post-show artist talkbacks, student performances, lecture demonstrations, master classes, internships, artist salons, outdoor dance classes, and workshops for special populations.
Whether it is creating pathways to excellence for aspiring young dancers, convening diverse voices in dialogue, promoting cultural understanding through art, or channeling the healing power of movement in health and wellness settings, TITAS recognizes that access to transformative artistic and creative experiences is a cornerstone of thriving communities.

Needs
Audiences love the innovative and exceptional dance and performance art presented by TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND, but did you know that ticket sales only cover about half the cost of bringing these world-renowned artists to North Texas? Public funding, foundation grants, individual contributions, and sponsorships are necessary for TITAS to draw the best, most cutting-edge, and culturally diverse artists while keeping performances accessible.
All North Texas Giving Day donations will support the TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND 2023-24 Season, featuring ten extraordinary companies from the United States, Japan, Canada, Israel, and France.
