$10,000 Goal

Thank you for your consideration in giving to The Core Theatre. A small, unassuming space with a big heart, and even bigger talent. Every actor who has performed here calls The Core Theatre home and we want to ensure that their home is always here for them. We've made big changes recently offering acting classes and hope to keep adding more classes and mentorship programs, as well as improving our space based on the wonderful feedback from so many of our beloved guests. (Please check out our current and planned programs below!)

Mission

We present quality, original stories that inspire. We want to transform talent by providing a place to grow and be discovered. We want to impact our community through these productions, using that extraordinary talent to compel our audiences to do good.

Needs

With your donations, we will make those improvements to our stage lighting and sound systems as well as improvements to the house and lobby lights. We want to transition from the old, hot stage lights to energy efficient (and non-heat-emitting LEDs!)

We also need a sign. We understand it's difficult to locate our theatre in the shopping center. We love our space and moving isn't an option at this time, therefore we really want a sign that will help everyone find us.

Finally, your contributions will also help us continue to produce compelling shows and pay stipends to our hard-working cast and crew.

Recovering from the 2020 shut-down has been slow going and your donations will also help us keep those lights on! Ultimately, we want this to be a place that not only our actors call home, but everyone in North Texas can call home too. We want you to have a place where you can see new, original, and refreshing productions, produced and performed by superior talent. Thank you so much.

Equity Statement

Here, we believe actions speak louder than words, and it is in these actions you will see us creating opportunities for personal growth and creating a welcoming environment that everyone can call home.

As a theatre that focuses on original content, our main objective is to tell stories illuminating every aspect of the human condition. Each and every individual is valuable to our story and we know that no two perspectives are alike. We know that cultural equity is critical to the long-term viability of the arts. We strive to ensure that all people—including but not limited to those who have been historically underrepresented based on race/ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, socioeconomic status, geography, citizenship status, or religion—are represented not only in the stories we tell but in the opportunities to learn and grow in this often unforgiving industry.
