Teacher Appreciation Program

A nonprofit organization

Teacher Appreciation Program was founded by Jessica Marion. She was denied her high school diploma back in 1994, because she couldn't pass the State Exit Exam in Louisiana. She feel into a deep depression and wanted to commit suicide. It was at that point in her life that her Algebra teacher reached out to her and told her "Soar like the eagle you are, never let a test defy who you are". Jessica went on to press hard through life and received her high school diploma ten years later and her college degree four years later. She was diagnosed with a learning disability while in college called Dyscalculia meaning see's numbers backwards. She never thought she was smart enough, good enough, or educated enough. The odds was staked against her in the words of her guidance teacher, because of her neighborhood and parents not having high school diplomas.

Later she moved to Texas and found her true calling and started a program where as her organization appreciates educators monthly throughout the year. Our organization also offers book stipend scholarships to teacher kids going to a university for the first time whose parents work in a DFW ISD. Our organization also give dorm scholarships for children needing help purchasing things for their college dorm rooms. Our organization has impacted the lives of over 1,000 educators throughout the DFW area. Teacher Appreciation Program is pleased to announce a resale shop called Teacher Resale Shop a place where teachers can donate or purchase items for their classrooms. On grand opening day in 2018 our store had around 2500 educators in attendance. Everyone is welcomed to shop at this store. The store has lots of items to help educate children of all ages. The store location is 3330 Matlock Rd Ste 118 A Arlington, Tx 76015.

Our Needs
