Alyssa's Giving Day Fundraiser for The Net

I have the honor to serve as the Communications Director at The Net, a nonprofit that disrupts sex trafficking and supports survivors through trauma-informed care, jail outreaches, case management, support groups, educational classes and much more! I get to support our team that is boots-on-the-ground, providing outreach, advocacy, and enrichment to survivors of sex trafficking in Fort Worth.

Recently at our weekly support group for survivors, one lady shared that with the help of The Net, she is moving "closer towards her dreams and further away from her nightmare."

To date The Net has served over 1,900 survivors of trafficking, engaged with more than 15,000 men attempting to purchase sex, and provided dignified employment to 21 survivors through our social enterprise, The Worthy Co. All of these programs exist because if proximity has taught us anything, it’s that everyone is worthy of the chance to rebuild their lives.
