Friends of Mark A. Burroughs, Sr., Fundraiser

Mark A. Burroughs, Sr., a former Denton Mayor, believed deeply in the principle of service above self. Over the years he contributed his kind leadership to a staggering array of local organizations.

Inspired by Mark's example of leadership and caring, the Friends of Mark Burroughs is honoring his memory by raising funds for a new Texas Health Behavioral Center in Denton.

Funds will help provide:

- Free mental health assessments and guidance for Denton residents in crisis

-Intensive therapy for partially hospitalized and outpatient clients

-A location accessible by public transit

The Center will address a gap in Denton County following a model already proven in other parts of North Texas.
