For more than two decades, Literacy Achieves has stood as a quiet but steadfast force in our city—walking alongside adults who are courageous enough to begin again. Every day, our classrooms hold stories of resilience: parents learning English so they can advocate for their children, newcomers building confidence alongside vocabulary, and neighbors discovering that literacy is not simply about language, but about belonging.

As Executive Director of Literacy Achieves, I have the honor of witnessing this transformation up close. It is made possible not by programs alone, but by people—partners who believe that access to English literacy and life skills strengthens families, communities, and the future we share.
