A World of Possibility

More than 18 years ago, a mother and a teacher imagined something different. They envisioned a place where neurodiverse children would be understood, supported, and celebrated for exactly who they are. That vision became It's a Sensory World!, and today it continues to open doors to possibility for hundreds of children and young adults each year.

At ISW, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to explore, connect, grow, and thrive.

For many neurodiverse individuals, traditional educational and recreational settings can create barriers to participation, learning, and belonging. We exist to remove those barriers and create opportunities where every individual can discover their strengths, build meaningful relationships, and develop the skills needed to navigate the world with confidence.

Through our Academy, camps, community-based programs, social opportunities, sensory experiences, and therapeutic supports, we help children and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities explore new experiences, connect with others, grow in their abilities, and thrive in their everyday lives.

Every day brings opportunities to discover something new. Whether it's participating in community outings, trying a new activity, learning a new skill, or experiencing the world in a supportive environment, exploration builds confidence and opens new possibilities.

Connect

Connection is at the heart of everything we do. Through friendships, communication, shared experiences, and meaningful relationships, individuals build a sense of belonging and community that extends far beyond our walls.

Grow

Growth looks different for every child. It may be learning a new form of communication, developing life skills, building independence, or gaining confidence. We celebrate every step forward because every milestone matters.

Thrive

When individuals are given the support, understanding, and opportunities they deserve, they can thrive. Greater independence, stronger relationships, increased confidence, and improved quality of life are all part of the journey.
