Dear Friends,
Over the years, I have had the privilege of watching many people come through the doors of our church and the surrounding community, each carrying their own story, their own hopes, and sometimes the quiet courage it takes to begin something new. One of the organizations that I have seen consistently walk alongside those journeys is Literacy Achieves.
As a board member, and as someone who works daily in the building that houses their corporate offices, I have had the opportunity to witness the dedication of the staff, volunteers, and students who make up this community. The work they do is both practical and deeply meaningful—helping adults learn English, gain confidence, and open doors that many of us may take for granted.
For many students, learning English is not simply about language. It is about being able to speak with a child’s teacher, understand a doctor’s instructions, pursue a better job, or feel more at home in the city they now call their own. Literacy Achieves provides the instruction, support, and encouragement that help make these moments possible.
Each year, the Wings of Spring campaign invites our community to come together in support of this mission. The generosity of donors and supporters ensures that classrooms remain open, volunteers are trained, and students continue to receive the tools they need to move forward in their lives.
If you feel moved to support this work, I hope you will consider making a gift. Your contribution, at any level, helps sustain programs that strengthen families and enrich our broader community.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Literacy Achieves and the work being done through Wings of Spring.
With appreciation,
