NTX Giving Day Special Effort!

Amanda feared for her and her children.  Her husband had already called the police a month ago and claimed she had assaulted him.  That was not true.  Just the opposite was going on. She had been suffering from domestic abuse for years.  Her family bailed her out of jail, but she had a restraining order preventing her from seeing her kids until today.  With the help of Sisters of Grace Ministry, she picked up her four children from school and fled to a temporary safe shelter.  Local PD was also informed of the situation. The kids had nothing but the clothes they were wearing. She was without money.  Sisters of Grace immediately moved to provide food and clothing for the family for several days until a more stable and long term living arrangement could be made.  With the financial assistance of Sisters of Grace, this mom was also able to secure legal representation to protect her and her children in the future.  She was also matched with a 3-member care team who walked with her for the next 15 months as she struggled through a life transition.
