STAAR makes a difference by saving the lives of homeless, abused and neglected animals everyday.
Our Needs
We are currently in need of monetary funding to cover vaccinations, spay and neuter, and emergency medical procedures of both adoptable cats and dogs that enter the shelter. We are also in need of monetary funds to cover the vaccinations as well as spay and neuter of cats that are released back into the community through our trap, neuter, and release (TNR) program.
Mission
Seagoville Texas Animal Advocates & Rescue (STAAR) is a 501(c)(3) volunteer based non-profit charitable organization that works hand in hand with the Seagoville Animal Shelter, a municipal no-kill shelter, by assisting them in covering vetting costs and finding loving permanent homes for the animals who enter the shelter. Our goal is to increase public awareness of the animal over population issue and provide solutions to end the unnecessary killing of adoptable animals.
