Our Needs

For 2022 our theme remains the same for North Texas Giving Day -- Gardening. Will you help us raise money to plant the seeds needed to prevent social isolation and to grow our life-enriching services for our low-income residents? They will be blooming with gratitude if you do!

Experts agree that socialization and meaningful activities significantly make a positive impact in the lives of our elderly population. The Last few years during the Pandemic, Plano Community Homes Sponsored Properties realized that we must do more to help our residents in preventing social isolation. Because many of our residents were missing out on visits with family and friends, as well as other social interactions, PCH asked for donations to start a technology fund. Unfortunately, we did not raise enough money to expand wi-fi throughout our buildings or purchase electronic tablets for our residents to borrow. Providing these services to our low-income Senior adults, who continue to be isolated in many ways, is so important we need to continue raising money for the Technology Fund in 2022.

We believe these activities are essential to our residents to enhance communication and enrich their lives as they stay safe during these times and continue to limit their interactions physically with others. Your gift, whether large or small, will assist in developing this opportunity for inclusion into a new world of social interaction and the introduction to new forms of technology for our residents.
