REACH Council is a community-based nonprofit serving Ellis and Johnson Counties through substance use prevention, education, and recovery support. Our programs equip children, teens, and families with practical skills to build healthy relationships, make informed decisions, manage challenges, and reduce the risks associated with substance use. We also provide peer-based recovery services for youth and young adults, family support, community education, and collaborative initiatives that connect individuals with resources and strengthen the communities we serve. Through prevention, early intervention, and recovery support, REACH Council helps create healthier futures for youth and families across our communities.
To encourage and support safe and healthy choices vital to the well-being of our youth, families, and community.
Youth and families across Ellis and Johnson Counties are facing increasing challenges related to substance use, mental health, family stress, and limited access to supportive services. In many of the rural and rapidly growing communities we serve, transportation barriers, provider shortages, financial limitations, and stigma can prevent individuals from receiving help before a concern becomes a crisis.
REACH Council brings prevention education, early intervention, peer recovery support, family services, and community resources directly to local schools and neighborhoods. Our programs help young people develop healthy coping and decision-making skills, support families as they navigate difficult situations, and provide individuals in recovery with connection, encouragement, and practical assistance.
Donations through North Texas Giving Day help REACH Council reach more young people, provide free programs and recovery activities, support families, and expand services in communities where resources are limited. Every gift helps create a safer, healthier, and more hopeful future for North Texas youth and families.
REACH Council is committed to creating an inclusive and equitable environment where every person is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. We recognize that individuals and communities experience different barriers to health, prevention, treatment, and recovery, and we work to ensure that our programs, services, and resources are accessible and responsive to those diverse needs.
We value the unique experiences, cultures, identities, abilities, and perspectives of the youth, families, staff, and communities we serve. We are committed to reducing disparities, addressing stigma, removing barriers to participation, and providing culturally and linguistically appropriate services.
Through ongoing learning, community collaboration, and thoughtful evaluation of our practices, REACH Council strives to ensure that all people have a meaningful opportunity to be heard, supported, and empowered to achieve healthier futures.
