Our Needs

Positive Reflection Ministries is currently seeking funding to sustain and expand its ‘Feeding the Community’ grocery distribution program and the LENS (Life Essential Needs Services) program, which provides emergency assistance with rent and utilities for individuals and families in need. Funding will support the purchase of food, including fresh produce and pantry staples; storage and refrigeration to ensure food safety; staffing and volunteer coordination; and operational costs such as packaging and distribution supplies. Additional funding is needed to acquire and maintain a commercial vehicle, including fuel, insurance, and maintenance, to ensure reliable transportation and efficient delivery of food and essential resources to the community.

Giving Activity

Mission

PRM provide resources that make positive, sustainable changes to improve accessibility to a broad range of quality education and services that empower families, schools, and communities.

Needs

Through our ongoing programs, we continue to make a measurable impact:

• Feeding the Community (FTC): Distributing groceries and meals, serving over 60,000 families across the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

• HOPE Initiative: Supporting individuals experiencing homelessness with food, care, and compassionate outreach.

• Life Essential Needs Services (LENS): Providing critical essentials such as rent and utilities, food, clothing, and basic necessities for daily living.

• PRYME Program: Empowering youth through entrepreneurship education, mentorship, and innovation.

In addition, our annual events like B-SAFE (Bike Safety Awareness for Everyone) and Share the Warmth campaign bring communities together while promoting safety, wellness, and dignity.

Equity Statement

Positive Reflections Ministries – Equity Statement

Positive Reflections Ministries is committed to fostering a culture of dignity, belonging, and opportunity for every individual and family we serve. Rooted in our mission to enhance quality of life through accessible education, resources, and support, we believe equity is essential to building stronger, healthier communities.

We recognize that barriers related to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, age, disability, gender, family structure, and lived experience can limit a person’s ability to thrive. Therefore, we are dedicated to removing these barriers by ensuring fair access to our programs, services, and leadership opportunities.

Our commitment to equity means:

Accessibility: We intentionally design programs and services that meet people where they are, ensuring they are affordable, inclusive, and responsive to community needs.

Representation: We value diverse voices and perspectives and seek to include them in decision-making, leadership, and program development.

Accountability: We actively assess our policies, partnerships, and practices to identify inequities and implement solutions that promote fairness and shared growth.

Respect & Compassion: We treat every individual with empathy, kindness, and honor—recognizing the inherent worth and potential of all people.

Positive Reflections Ministries strives to create a welcoming environment where everyone can be seen, heard, supported, and empowered. Equity is not just a principle we uphold; it is the foundation of how we serve, engage, and reflect hope in our community.
