2026 North Texas Giving Day Campaign
This year, something beautiful is happening at Smile Honey Child Mobile Youth Nonprofit more young people are asking to be part of what we're building. What began with a school bus driver simply paying attention to the kids around her is growing into a community where youth can explore STEM, experience new places, discover technology, build confidence, and know that someone sees their potential.
As more kids ask to join, our goal is simple: we want to keep saying YES.
Our North Texas Giving Day Goal: $3,000
What will $3,000 help provide?
Your donations will help us serve 32 students during the 2026–2027 school year by supporting:
32 Kids. One Community. A $3,000 Goal.
You don't have to fund an entire program.
You can help buy a STEM kit.
You can help put fuel in the bus.
You can help cover an admission ticket.
You can help provide supplies for an experiment.
You can help make one more opportunity possible.
And when those gifts come together, students don't have to remain on a waiting list. All will get a chance to participate.
That's what we're asking for this North Texas Giving Day.

OUR HISTORY
Smile Honey Child began with one goal: help young people discover possibilities they may not otherwise get to experience.
Our journey started in the Metaverse, using virtual reality and technology to introduce youth to new careers, experiences, and ways of learning. As our vision grew, we moved from virtual experiences into real-world opportunities. Limited funding eventually slowed the original program, but it also gave us time to learn, rebuild, and discover where we could make the greatest impact.
After two years of testing our school-bus-connected model, we found our lane.
Today, Smile Honey Child Mobile Youth Nonprofit combines STEM+ learning, technology, small-group mentorship, educational field trips, and school-bus outreach to help young people feel seen, supported, and exposed to opportunities beyond the classroom.
We started in the virtual world. We found our purpose in the real one.
Now we're raising support to take the next step: securing dedicated transportation so we can reach more youth, create more experiences, and keep moving opportunities directly to the children we serve.
Because sometimes the distance between a child and an opportunity is simply a ride.
Smile Honey Child Mobile Youth Nonprofit serves youth ages 10–17 by helping connect them to opportunities, experiences and people that can help them grow.
We provide small-group mentorship, STEM/STEAM and AI experiences, educational field trips, career and community exploration, emotional encouragement, and transportation when getting there is part of the barrier.
A lot of what we do is simply about exposure. Taking a young person somewhere new. Letting them try something they have never tried before. Introducing them to a career they didn't know existed. Giving them someone to talk to, learn from and ask questions.
We want young people to have a chance to explore beyond what they already know and discover more about themselves along the way.
Our programs are intentionally small because relationships matter to us. We want to know the young people we serve, encourage their individual interests and create experiences where they feel comfortable being themselves.
At the end of the day, our mission is pretty simple:
Help young people feel seen, give them opportunities to explore, and help them get there.
Our Current Needs
Smile Honey Child is growing, and there are many ways our community can help us create opportunities for local youth.
Our current needs include:
🧪 Age-appropriate STEM+ kits age 10-17 robotics, engineering, coding, science and hands-on building activities
🎟️ Field trip & educational experience admission — museums, STEM centers, technology experiences and other learning adventures
🚌 Transportation support — bus rentals, fuel and transportation costs for field trips and school events
🚐 Passenger van — our long-term goal is to secure our own vehicle so transportation is more accessible and sustainable
🎒 Student learning packs & supplies — notebooks, STEM tools, project materials and educational resources
🍕 Meals & snacks — for students during field trips and extended activities
🏆 Student recognition & incentives — certificates, STEM prizes, shirts and small rewards that celebrate participation and achievement
🦺 Safety supplies — first-aid kits, emergency supplies, reflective gear and transportation safety equipment
👕 Program shirts & identification — helping students and volunteers be easily identified during community outings
💻 Technology — tablets, laptops, VR/AR equipment and other tools for STEM+ exploration
👨👩👧 Family STEM resources — take-home activities that encourage families to continue learning together
🤝 Community partners & mentors — businesses, STEM professionals and caring adults willing to share experiences, host visits or support our youth
🎁 In-kind donations — attraction tickets, meals, gift cards, printing, transportation services, STEM supplies and other program resources
The bus picks up everybody. So do we.
Smile Honey Child was born on a school bus, a place where kids from different neighborhoods, cultures, families and life experiences come together every single day.
One thing about the bus is that it doesn't care where you come from, how much money your family makes, what you look like, what language you speak or what may be happening in your life.
The doors open and everybody gets on.
That has become a big part of how we see Smile Honey Child too.
We serve youth from all different backgrounds. Some may need transportation. Some may need encouragement. Some may need someone to expose them to something new. And some may simply need a safe place to be themselves, have fun and know that somebody sees them.
We don't believe a child has to fit into a certain category to deserve an opportunity.
Through small-group mentorship, STEM/STEAM experiences, educational adventures and community partnerships, we bring young people together to learn from each other, try new things and experience places and opportunities they may not normally experience together.
Different kids. Different stories. Same opportunity to belong.
