Every name tells a story. Ours begins with a single mother who raised five children on her own, holding tight to two convictions: that education could change a life, and that one day she would own a home of her own. She poured everything into her family and her faith. She passed in 2009 before that dream became real — but the dream didn't end with her. My New House, Inc. carries it forward so that other families, fighting the same hard fight, don't have to defer theirs.
Founded in 2019, My New House serves homeless, underserved, and impoverished individuals and families across the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. We believe meeting people in crisis isn't enough on its own — real change means meeting urgent needs today while building a path toward lasting stability.
That work takes several forms:
Food. Hunger doesn't wait, and neither do we. Through a daily partnership with Inspired Vision Compassion Center in Pleasant Grove and a monthly distribution in Ennis alongside New Hope Baptist Church, we help keep food on the tables of families who would otherwise go without.
Hygiene and essentials. A clean change of clothes, soap, basic supplies — small things that restore dignity and remind people they matter.
Mental health support. Hardship wears on the mind as much as the body. We care for the whole person, so that stability has a foundation strong enough to last.
Homelessness services. We walk alongside individuals and families, connecting them to the resources and support that move them off the street and toward a place to call home.
Behind every distribution and every conversation is the same belief that started it all: that no one should be invisible, and no family should have to give up on the dream of a home.
When you give on North Texas Giving Day, you become part of that story. Your gift puts meals in hands, essentials in homes, and hope within reach for our neighbors across North Texas. Together, we're not just helping people survive a hard season — we're helping them build the foundation for everything that comes next.
Thank you for believing in this work. Thank you for helping us open the door to someone's new house.
