Little Dog Rescue of North Texas, Inc.

A nonprofit organization

100% complete

$10,000 Goal

We have rescued and found homes for hundreds of dogs from shelters, hoarding seizures and owner surrenders. The vast majority of our rescues are medical cases that require surgeries, heartworm treatments, long term care with expensive medications and prescription food.

Our Needs

Our current needs are to replenish our surgery and heartworm funds. We have spent $16,000 since April 2023 on emergency surgeries and heartworm treatment. Every dog we have needs veterinary care, including exams, vaccines, spay/neuter, microchips, and many needing surgery and prescription food. This has been the worst year for owner surrendered and stray dogs. Thank you for helping us continue our mission. Thank you for your generosity!

Giving Activity

Mission

Our mission is to unite as rescue partners with North Texas animal shelters by providing veterinary care, fostering, and carefully placed adoptions of small breed dogs. The majority of our dogs require surgeries, such as amputations, hernia repair, cherry eye repair, Cryptorchid procedure, eye removal, hip and pelvis surgery, tumor removal, just to name a few.

We focus our community education efforts on responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering pets to combat overpopulation.
