Lake Area Shared Ministries Food Pantry, Quinlan

A nonprofit organization

Since COVID began in March we have been feeding people in need on a weekly basis. We went from helping about 300 families a month to helping almost 1000 families per month. The need is great at this time! Our volunteers have worked very hard to make sure our community does not go hungry.

Our Needs

Lake Area Shared Ministries Food Pantry is run entirely by dedicated volunteers and has been in operation since 2001 servicing the Hunt county area. Being open 4 mornings a week, in 2022 we provided food and assistance to 46,750 individuals (over 14,000 food boxes) of which over 13,000 seniors and 14,000 children were served. In addition we provided 500 Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. We have an on-going need for funds to meet overhead expenses in addition to purchasing food from the North Texas Food Bank. We are also raising funds to purchase personal hygiene items for our clients.

Mission

In recognition of God's concern for the needy, we exist to assist the Hunt County area residents who need assistance feeding themselves and/or their families.

Needs

We need help purchasing personal hygiene items for our clients.
