Raising Funds for Seniors in Need of Home Repairs Through Hearts for Homes
by Stacey Campbell
I have been a volunteer with Hearts for Homes since it began its ministry to seniors in need of home repairs back in 2006. I have seen the incredible impact this outreach has on the lives and well-being of seniors in dire need of a helping hand. I have watched not only their homes transformed but also the hearts of the seniors served as well as the volunteers serving. It takes a village to raise a child and I truly believe it takes a village to protect and honor our senior neighbors as well. You can help by making a donation of $25 or more this North Texas Giving Day. Donations can be scheduled as early as Sept. 9. Will you help support this incredible and vital ministry that serves the most vulnerable in our community so they may have the dignity and peace of mind that a safe, functional home brings as they age in place?
Thank you so much! You have no idea the impact you have on these seniors.
Blessings.

Susan Frank's FUNdraising Page for Hearts for Homes
by Susan Frank
I am blessed to be the Founder & Executive Director of Hearts for Homes. We have the privilege of serving low-income senior homeowners in Denton County by providing them with no-cost home repairs. Many people are under the assumption that seniors are all set because most of them own their homes and are now living "on retirement." It's true that many of our seniors own their homes, but their "retirement" income may be as low as $500 monthly, which leaves them trying to decide if they are going to buy groceries, pay their utilities OR purchase their much-needed medications...there are absolutely no funds for home repairs. That's where Hearts for Homes and our wonderful supporters come in. We make any and all repairs to their homes. Our goal is to leave the seniors with a home that is safe, well-functioning and comfortable; affording them dignity and hope as they age in place in their homes. We don't just repair homes...we change lives. Will you please come alongside us at Hearts for Homes and be a life-changer for Denton County seniors? You will indeed be blessed!!

Here's what one of our seniors said about Hearts for Homes:

What a wonderful, caring, compassionate and much needed organization! With my husband in a nursing home for over a year, and no family here, I'd truly be homeless without their help. My roof was leaking so bad that a huge part of the living room ceiling finally caved in. Devastation! I searched the Internet for help and The Lord led me to Hearts for Homes. A wonderful crew, filled with love and compassion came and replaced my roof AND my ceilings!! No words can express my appreciation. God bless you all!! Bobbie Gerken

Protecting Dignity with Home Repairs
by Jennifer Balmos
I have recently been named to the Board of Directors of Hearts for Homes, and cannot say enough about H4H's mission. H4H provides low-income seniors in our community with home improvements and services that so many of us take for granted. Many of H4H's clients do not have family nearby and simply cannot afford to make needed repairs or improvements to their homes. Please help us protect the dignity of our local seniors by donating today!

Hearts for Homes is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation established as a Christian outreach to provide hope and dignity through home rehabilitation, affording low-income seniors a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning home. Since 2006, Hearts for Homes has been providing no-cost home repairs to improve the living conditions of low-income senior homeowners in Denton County.

Don's Hearts for Homes Fundraising Page
by Don Armstrong
Hearts for Homes fills a void for low-income senior homeowners (Denton County) who need necessary home repairs. Without donations by individuals (like you), many of these homeowners will live in substandard conditions. Your donations will help these individuals live out their lives in safe & comfortable conditions. Please help this often forgotten part of our community live in dignity. Thank you for your support!
