The authentic learning demands on students at our small charter school forces students to connect what they learn with their real world. This approach results in learning that goes beyond typical education and engages students in life-changing pursuits. Many students have graduated and created successful business LLCs right after high school graduation. We have added a basketball program to this school that has attracted students from all over the metroplex who are now gaining more exposure in their pursuit to play college basketball and getting an invaluable academic experience.
Our Needs
Our budget to run our program is approximately $15,000. The school where our students attend does not fund our basketball program therefore we have to raise all funds. The school does not have a gym so we rent out facilities for games and practices. We have to raise funds for high school tournaments, transportation, and lodging (hotels for out of town games)
Mission
The mission of our organization is to place high school student athletes who aspire to play college basketball in a tuition free innovative academic environment. This increases their chances of receiving an academic and/or athletic scholarship for college.
