The Bair Foundation Child & Family Ministries

The Bair Foundation is a child and family ministry providing services such as foster care, foster-to-adopt, and family counseling since 1967. The majority of our work is helping children and youth who have been removed from their biological family by state or local child welfare agencies. Bair recruits families who are passionate about helping children and gives them the training they need to provide healing from the trauma these children have experienced. These families open their homes and hearts to care for the children in a family setting.

Bair is a non-profit 501(c)(3). With 30 offices in 8 states, we offer a myriad of community-based services which include: Treatment Foster Care, Traditional Foster Care, Adoption Services, Medically-Needy Foster Care, Independent Living Services, Parent Empowerment Program, B.E.S.T. Program, Wraparound Services, In-Home Services, Assessment Home, & Outpatient Services.

The Bair Foundation is accredited by COA (Council on Accreditation) and is a member of Alliance for Children and Families; Christian Alliance for Orphans; Family Focused Treatment Association; National Foster Parent Association and The National Association of Christian Child and Family Agencies

Our Needs

The Bair Foundation of Texas serves abused and neglected children ages birth-21. These children often come in to foster care with the clothes on their backs, which are often dirty, too small or unsuitable for wear. Monetary donations are most flexible as this allows our staff to purchase age appropriate car seats as well as emergency direct care needs for the children.

To enhance the quality of life for a child in foster care, your financial contribution can help provide items that are not covered by state foster care payments. Children in foster care have often experienced upheaval through multiple moves, schools, and homes.

Your financial donation can help restore a smile, give a music lesson, provide a cultural experience, enable a child to attend a summer camp or help equip foster youth before they age out of the foster care system. Your donation will help give our children & teens the opportunity to be nurtured, educated and enriched just like other children as they grow into healthy, well-adjusted, confident adults.
