Art House Dallas works to cultivate creativity for the common good through providing artist care, community, and development for everyone seeking to lead imaginative, meaningful lives. We accomplish our mission by fostering community amongst creatives, believing that the flourishing of rich artistic expression benefits the larger community. Our programming reaches individuals across many genres of the arts including: music, writing, visual art, and spiritual formation.
The Art House Exchange, our bi-monthly gathering of creatives, exists for the exchange of ideas and creative discussion across mediums with an regular attendance of 50 creatives. Likewise, at Origin, a series of monthly luncheons, Art House Dallas hosts over 40 people for facilitated group discussions and presentations seeking to establish a wholeness and connectedness between art and faith with the ultimate intent to establish a sacred perspective in how the individual responds creatively.
Awaken Creativity writers groups meet in both Dallas and Fort Worth on a monthly basis and are limited to no more than 15 people with the goal of providing an encouraging environment that facilitates feedback, cultivates relationships, and sparks inspiration. In a similar spirit Da Vinci's Easel, a monthly painters' group, aims to draw together artists for the purpose of painting together and building community with one another. This small group is limited to 5-10 participants and meets once a month in a local artist's studio. Also, for our Feedback for Songwriters gatherings we invite 20 songwriters to share their work in small groups led by facilitators who have exhibited longevity in the art forms songwriting to explore strengths and growth in an encouraging environment.
With the guiding tenant that the community is stronger when we work together, Art House Dallas has cultivated strong local collaborative partnerships across multiple disciplines throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area including; Dallas Entrepreneur Center, Heart House, Dallas International Film Festival, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, ACT, and more.
"I began coming to Art House events when I first moved to Dallas in 2013. Immediately this community transformed me. I met brave and daring individuals who became close friends. Friends who taught me the importance of affirming our gifts and sharing them with the world. Throughout the years, I have been a part of numerous events with Art House including Exchanges, DaVinci's Easel, Visual Artist Dinners, and Origin. Each meeting brings authentic and loving conversation. As I have grown within this community, I have come to understand that as artists we have been given, not only the gift of creativity and art, but also the responsibility of sharing this gift." -Mandy Rogers
