$20,000 Goal

According to the Humane Society, backed up by USDA records, approximately 30,000 to 40,000 horses are shipped through our Mexican and Canadian borders every year to be slaughtered, mostly for human consumption. It is estimated that 92% are healthy and could have lived out a productive life.

We believe that no horse deserves this fate and that all of them deserve a second chance.
We believe that although rescue may not be the ultimate answer, it makes a difference for the horses that are rescued.

Our Needs

There is always a need for money to purchase hay and feed, as well as for other expenses that are necessary for the maintenance and daily care of our horses such as farrier and veterinary expenses. We also pay for professional trainers to work with our horses in order to help them to become excellent equine partners.

Mission

We are a non-profit organization formed for the purpose of rescuing slaughter bound horses and dedicated to rehoming them into loving, forever families. We work with our rescues daily to retrain or in some cases start our rescues with Parelli Natural Horsemanship methods that put the horse and the relationship first through love, language and leadership. The results are a trusting horse with a great foundation ready to become someone's new forever equine partner.

Needs

Our primary needs are to buy this years supply of hay. Due to the rising prices of diesel and fertilizer along with this year's very hot and dry conditions, hay isver expensive this year. Our budget for hay alone is $30,000+ and this not is not including the cost of other feeds that are used on a daily basis.

Equity Statement

We believe in equity for all.
