Mission

The mission of Fort Worth VFW Post 8235 is to foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts and to serve our veterans, the military and our communities and advocate on behalf of all veterans.

Our Purpose:

Each day U.S. Service members are coming home battered and bewildered from what they have experienced in missions overseas. This is especially true given the current situation with the withdrawal from Afghanistan and the numerous anti-terror missions going on in the Middle-East, Africa and around the world. The American general public is largely unaware of these missions. These long durations and multiple deployments away from home and family has put a heavy toll on these service member's life. We here at Fort Worth VFW Post 8235, want to be able to give these veterans and the service members stationed locally a place to call their “home away from home.”

Needs

We need your support! Help us serve those who have sacrificed so much for us all. No member or officer of the VFW receives any form of compensation. The full 100% of each donation is tax deductible and is used to aid Veterans and their families, and is very appreciated.

Funding is needed to extend and make improvements to our Post building, currently our construction/remodel is only at 75% complete. We seek to build a state-of-the-art and technologically equipped facility. We have new ideas from our younger Veteran members to help modernize VFW Post 8235 and bring it into the 21st century. All of this will make us a better and more effective Veterans Service Organization. This will be done concurrently with our on-going support and service to the Veteran community.
