Dr. Gene Getz established the Center for Church Renewal to help pastors and leaders understand and apply the supracultural principles in Scripture. The means for achieving this goal has been the creative use of radio, video, podcasts, conferences, and literature.
Using the CSB translation of the Bible, Gene authored the Life Essentials Study Bible adding 1,500 Principles to Live By and 1,500 teaching videos that are accessible through QR codes embedded in the biblical text. Consequently, God began opening doors literally around the world for the CCR to gift the Life Essentials Study Bible to pastors and leaders in developing countries. Most have had little if any formal training. For them, it’s like a seminary in a box. Locally we’re giving the Life Essentials Study Bible to prison inmates and training them in how to use it.
We believe that there is no greater investment in kingdom work, then to help people understand the total redemptive message in the scriptures and then to share this message with others. We depend on donations from faithful friends to make all this possible.
Our goal as a ministry is to place the Life Essentials Study Bible in the hands-and the hearts-of people who have no Study Bible-and to those who can't afford one.
Funding for continued expansion and development of the following initiatives:
1. Foreign language translations and distribution of The Life Essentials Study Bible, specifically for Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and Hindi.
2. Reaching prison inmates with training material to help them develop Christian character.
3. Continue to provide church and seminary leaders and their constituents with high quality Christian educational resources, consulting and training.
